Lex's POV

I just woke up, around 5:30 am. Early. I know, I'm a morning person I guess. I grabbed my backpack that was laying on my bed. It was packed with clothes, toothbrush and toothpaste, the ustetals, and of couse my i-pod. I couldn't live without it. I also had some cash in the front pocket, about a $100, for food and everything I need, or if I hear some more of the music I like and put it on my i-pod. Everyone in the house was asleep so this was a perfect time to go. Go where you ask, I'm not really sure myself. All I know is I don't like being here. There's nothing wrong with where I'm stay, I have a family and everything but I have to hide my powers everyday and not do anything if someone is in trouble. I already got caught helping someone and I got in trouble for it.

Well anyway I tip toed out of my hallway I shared with my sister. If only I could have insablity like my younger sister. I walked past my younger brother's room. His power is that he can fly and super strong. I sighed. My powers were nothing my parents were supecting, I had the power of the elements. First they just thought I could control fire, because that's the first element I could do but then I started to have the power of earth, then water, and so on. I just found out that I could also do darkness along with light.

I opened the front down, looked back one more time, then stepped outside. I slowly closed the door. I hopped from roof to roof, with using air, I couldn't fly. When I looked at the sky ,after about 30 minutes of jumping, the sun was slowly coming up. I sat down on top of some ones roof and pulled a map out of my backpack. I closed my eyes and pointed at a random place, New York City. "Hm...New York, hmm" she whispered to herself. "Well then I guess that's where I'm going" she put the map back in her backpack and hopped up, hopping from roof to roof again.

After about 5 hours of running or jumping, I was out of Florida and really tired. When I was on the border of Florida and Geogia, I found a fast food restrant so I stopped there for lunch and to rest. I ordered a saled, only thing vegietaran, and sat down at a table. I wasn't a big fan of saleds but I was so hunger that I ate the whole thing in about 5 minutes and that thing was a big saled. I throw the bowl in the trash and was back on the rode.

After about another 10 hours I stopped again. I walked inside a cheap hotal, rented a room and went straight to the shower. With walking on the road you get really tired and dirty. After the shower I jumped on to the bed and fell straight to sleep. After 5 hours of sleep, there came a knocking at the door. I grouned and got out of bed, then opening the door. My eyes shot open when I saw it was the police at the door. I calmed myself down. "May I help you?" I asked trying to sound as inacten as possible, which wasn't working out real well. "Come with us, your a ranaway" said one of the police officers. 'Uh oh'. I slid under them and dashed out of the hotal.

I could hear the sirens right behind me. I looked back and set the triers on fire, but making sure they only got glued on to the streat. I sighed and ran faster.

After about 3 days of walking I finally reached New York City. When I reached there, I sighed a great relief. The sky was pinch black but the city was lit up with lights. Some flashed and others were ranbow colors. I walked around the city going into every small store that I saw. After I've been into atleast 10 stores, I hummed Must Be Dreaming smiling happley. 'I havn't felt this happy in such a long time' I thought to my self. Just as I was passing a allway I heard something move I looked over to where I heard the sound and saw nothing. I shurged and walked a little more before I was grabbed by my arm. I was about to scream when the person covered his hand over my mouth.

It was a boy about a year older then me but he had scares on his face and this horrible smirk. I kicked him right where the sun don't shine. He let out a ear-pounding scream. I took the chance to ran but this guy had some friends. I growled. The guy that grabbed my arm grabbed me again but more harder this time. I grimsed in pain, my teeth squeezed together. "Don't think your getting away that quickly sweety" the boy said sqeezing my arm harder. Fire then went all around my arm, I didn't even mean for t happen, it just does when I get mad. He let out another ear-peircing scream, letting go of my arm and blowing on his hand. 'Serves him right' I thought. His friends just started laughing at him, and I put in a giggle or two.

"Shut up you idiots, and get the girl!!" he screamed at them. The only way to go was more into the allyway. I sighed and started running in that direction. The gouns were right on my track. 'This sucks' I thought to myself. I soon came to a dead end. "This isn't surprising" I whispered to myself. I heard foot steps right behind me. "Shit!" I whispered. Lex only cused when she was in danger or when she was mad, but not loud or just in her head.

All the way in the back of this allway, it was pinch black me, nore the gang could see that well, so instead of attacking me they mistook a garbage can. If only I hadn't laugh I probly got out of there, but I had such a big mouth. Right when I thought I was home free, the same guy as before grabbed me around the neck, hold a gun to my head. "Move or do anything at all and I'll shot!" he warned. 'This is it! I'm going to die!!' I was scaring myself now. I closed my eyes, waiting for the pain.

Just when I thought he would pull the trigur nothing came. I opened my eyes. Then I felt nothing holding my neck. I quickly turned around and saw the guy on the ground, dead. I looked up and there was a boy there, as tall as me and looked to be the same age. He had black hair and wore a dark blue or black shirt with deneam pants with some holes in them. I looked shocked seeing him there, if your just about to die you would have never thought of someone saving you or if you did then you really need to think of other things when you are about to die because things happen when you least aspected.

The boy then looked up at me, looking as if he just noticed me. The boy that keeped on grabbing me friends then came at us. I got into a fight position, the boy just glared and attacked. I knocked out about 2 of thems but the other 3 the guy knocked out. When he was fighting the last guy, something came out of his hand. It was lightning. I was shocked. 'This guy is just like me' I thought.

After we knocked out all the gang memeber out, the boy sat down on the floor, looking tired and wiped out. I would have just walked back out of the allway quickly but something told me to stay. I thought 'Why not' and sat down next to him. When I did this he looked at me strangly. I just smiled, out of instict. Whenever someone looked at me weird I just smiled back. "My names Lex" I said randomly. "Name's Ckeen" he tired to say this cooly, but it didn't come out that cooly.

"So I see that you have a gift" I put in, talking about his power. He looked down sadly. I wondered why, I loved having a power. He sundily got up and ran off. "Hey! Where are you going!?" I screamed running after him. He didn't look back, he just keeped on running. When I finally got out of the allway, he was gone.

I was in my hotel, just laying on the bed watching the ceiling, which was not very entertaining. I sighed. Just incase I had to run again to get out I left the window open. I wondered where Ckeen went, if that was his name, I was horrible with names. I sqented my eyes in frustation, thinking of anywhere I could find this boy. 'Why am I so interested in finding him' I thought. Just then the news came on. I looked down at the TV, just about to change it when something on the news cought my eye.

"The Teen Titans did it again. They saved the kids in a school bus from being crushed, while still fighting. They are such a remarkable group of hero's" the spokes guy said. Then they showed a picture of the Teen Titans. "Hm the Teen Titan, hm.." I said to myself. This news was coming from Californa. "I'm going to go to Californa then" I muttered to myself. Just then I heard a sound of alarms going off. It was coming from below, only a few building away from where the hotel was. I ran over to the window and stuck my head out. The alarms were coming from a Electronects shop, nothing could be seen broken from where I was standing but the door was wide open.

I saw someone running to oposite direction of the store which the person was head more towards the hotel. 'Perfect' I thought. I jumped from the window, using the element air to slow myself down, not wanting to end up killed by this. I landed in a perfect poision right infront of the runner. In his hand was a PDA and a laptop but I wasn't really paying attition to that. I stood there shocked because it was the boy that I say earlier that day. Ckeen.

He looked just as shocked, but then he made a run for an allway that was right beside both of us. I dashed after him. 'He's not getting away this time' I thought running as fast as I could. It seemed like forever before the allway became a deadend. He looked around for a way out. "I got you NOW!" I then froze him, right where he stood. I first unfrossed the PDA and laptop, and took them to the store. The cops where also there. They thanked me but all I said was it was no trouble.

I then went back to where I froze Ckeen and broght him back to my hotel room for questioning(And if you thought it was in a perverted way you are SO wrong). When I finally dragged him up there, which took 30 minutes, I put him on the floor and defrosted him with some fire. When I hit his leg, he let out a really loud "OWWW!!". He jumped so far in the air that he broke the ice when he hit the ceiling. I bit my lower lip trying not to laugh. When he came back down, he was glaring at me rubbing him leg. I couldn't help it anymore, I started laughing. This made him glare even more at me. "What are you laughing at?! It's your fault that happened to me!!" he yelled at me. I just rolled my eyes and kept on laughing. When I stopped laughing and looked up at Ckeen, he looked like he was going to takle me.

This just made me roll my eyes again but I start laughing this time, fearing to actually get takled. "You're just luckey I didn't turn you into the cops for stealing" I disclosed. He then looked down, sadness in his eyes. "I know..but..that stuff was mine in the first place. I was working there and I didn't get money so I asked for the laptop and the PDA, and the manerger said sure but I had to work up to it and he gave me a date to when I could get it, which was today. When I picked which one I wanted he told me I was a theif and fired me. So when I took off with them he must have called the police." Ckeen explained.

I stood up. "Well then we should go get them back then. What a horrible man, steiling from a kid like that." I told him. "I'm 14" he had an anime sweat drop. "Oh..well anyway come on" I grabbed his arm and jumped out the window, which was still open. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!?" he screamed over the rush of air hitting us. "JUST WATCH" I yelled back. Right when we were about to hit the pavement, I used air and made us land perfectly. Ckeen was twiching and he looked froze with fear, also with his hair standing up. "Come on" I pulled him by his arm to the direction to the Eletronic shop.

The cops were still out there, interviewing the manager. "He had black hair and was about this tall" the manager was holding his arm way in the air, taller then Ckeen will be awhile. The cop nodded, preteding to listen and write this down, he was really drawing stick figurs shoting each other. "THERE HE IS!! THERE HE IS!!" the manager screamed in the cops ear, freaking the cop out and making him fuble for his gun. When he finally calmed down, he put his gun away, breathing hard on being freaked out.

He was about to grab Ckeen when I stood in front of him. "Hey your the girl that broght back the laptop and PDA" he said very confused on why I was protecting him.

"This man cheated his emploey" I pointed to the maneger. The manager started to sweat, "I did no such thing! He stole from me!" he lied. "LIAR!" I exclaimed. "Ok, ok. Calm down both of you" the cop pushed both me and the manager away from each other, because it looked to be we were about to fght each other.

Ckeen was now in the hotel room with me, searching something on his new laptop. It turns out that the manager had stolen from all of his emploeys, so that got him arested and got Ckeen back his laptop and PDA. "Here" he turned the laptop in my direction for me to see what he was showing me. "It's a map to get to Californa" he explained. Really? Thanks" I thanked scribbling some of it down on some flier someone gave me when I first arrived. I then looked at the clock, it read 11:47pm.

"Wow, it's getting late. You get home" I warned. "You don't want to get your parents to freak out the much, do you?". Ckeen then looked down sadden again. "I don't have any.....parents" he choked. I didn't know what to say, normally you would say 'I'm sorry' but I never thought that helped. "Well parents are really over rated any way" I jumped on the bed and then layed down on it. Ckeen smiled. He was glad that she didn't say I'm sorry like most people.

"Is that why you ran away?" he asked. "No, not really. The reason I 'ran away' is because I couldn't do anything to help people, I just had to sit there and do nothing" I explained. "Oh, well so when are you leaving for Californa?" Ckeen asked after some akward silence. "Tomorrow morning" I noted. "Well then I'll come back in the morning, we are going to have to start...early" he said the last word with such a horrible sound, like it was the worest thing that could happen. "We?" I lened up, looking at him strangle. Now it was his turn to smile. "Well yeah. Your not going to servive out there alone" he smirked. I rolled my eyes but smiled. "Well if there's a giant spider, I'll protect you" I chuckled,playfully throwing a pillow at him.

I woke with my alarm. I yawned and got out of bed. I was already dressed and ready to go. Growling noise went throw the air. I quickly turned on the light. I heard it again. 'Sounds like it's coming from outside the door' I slowly walked over to the door. When I slowly opened the door, I looked down and saw a sleeping, drowling, snoring(Whichs sound like growling) Ckeen. I had an anime sweat drop. I sighed and kicked him, trying to wake him up.

He grouned and sat up. "What happened?" he asked still half way asleep. "We're leaving now, you ready?" I asked heloing off the floor. "What?Oh, yes I'm ready" he informed. "O-k, then. LETS GO!" I pointed to the way out of the hotel and walked the same way. Ckeen walked slowly behind, yawning every step, he wasn't a morning person.

We have been on the road for atleast 20 days now heading to California. On the 21 first day we got there, but we were so confused on where we were, we have had been in California for 5 days now and ended up in Los Angeles. "I told you we shouldn't tooken the advice from that crazy man" Ckeen said while we where walking into a reastrant for breakfest. "No you didn't. You didn't say anything!" I exclaimed. "Well I was thinking it" he pounted. "And I'm sopose to read your mind how?".
Ckeen shruged. I just sighed. "And what is this reastarute anyway" I looked around.

"The one you eat at" was his only respones. "Thanks for pointing that out" I remarked. "Looks more like a fast food reastrant". When we got up to the front, I saw the menu. "It's all meat!" I blurted. "Yep" he smirked, he knows I'm a vegietarion. I just glared at him shaking my head in disappointment. "What?" he put on an inacent look. I just kept shaking my head and glaring. "What would you like?" the person at the cash register asked. "I'll have.." I covered his mouth. "We'll just have some of the fruit saled" I aswered. Ckeen flung my hand off of his mouth, "And a hamburger". The person nodded and went into the back to get the orders.

When he came back with orders I grabbed them before Ckeen could. I sat down at a table near the open window. Before I could get anything out of the bag or stop Ckeen from grabbing anything, Ckeen grabbed the hamburger. He was just about to take a bite but I hit him on the head and took the burger and throw it out of the window. "Hey! Why did you do that?!" he looked so surprised. "Everytime we go out to eat, you get something with meat. So I'm going to change that" I pushed the fruit saled over to him and handed him a fork. He took the fork and throw his fork at the saled and opened his mouth, eating the saled pounting.

I just giggled at his pounting and then went back to eating. After we were both done I throw the plastic plates and the plastic forks away. "So do you know how to get to Oukland?" Ckeen asked after I got back. "No! That's the reason I took directions from the crazy man!" I affirmed. Just then a girl walked in with short blonde hair and a dress that went alittle over her knees with tight light purple pants under the dress.

She looked around and when she came around to looking at us and saw us staring at her, she looked down quickly and scappered over to the table farthese away from us. "Maybe she knows" Ckeen walked over to the girl before I could respond. "Hey do you know how to get to Oukland?" asked. The girls eyes got really big and she look liked a deer in headlights. "Um...hello?" he waved a head in front of her face with a questioning look. Then she punched him in the face, by accadent of course. Ckeen looked just as surprised of this as did the girl. "I'M SOOOO SORRY!!" she yelled trying to make sure he was alright. I walked over there to see what was all the fuss was about when I saw that Ckeen's nose was bleeding. "What happened?" I asked, kind of freaked out by this.

"I'M SOOO SORRY!" she repeated. She then ran over to the front counter and grabbed a mountain of napkins. Ckeen held them to his nose. "I really am sorry about this, I didn't mean to punch you I seware" she said this like 10 times already. "It's ok. He'll be fine."I assured her. "It's just I never like meeting new people and sometimes they freak me out so much that I can't help myself but punch them" she said the last part whispering.

"It's fine. He'll be fine" I repeated. All of a sudden a man with a police uniform came charging in. He had a mustash and black hair. "Hey! You kids!" he yelled at us. We all turned our attention to him. "Why arn't you at school!" he yelled again. "Oh shot, I almost forgot about school" I heard the girl whisper. "We are just vistiting" Ckeen explained with the nakin still around his nose. "That's no excuse! Come with me!" he yelled again pushing us in to his cop car. Before we could do anything we were in the back like we are criminals. Ckeen was slouching and arms crossed. I was leaning my head on the cold, hard metel at the top. The girl was just slouching over, eyes stairing at the ground.

"Oh by the way I'm Lex and this is Ckeen" I pointed to me then Ckeen. "I'm Flower" she responded with a groffy smile. I smiled back. 'Well she seems more friendly then when we first met her' I thought. We finally turned to go into the high school. I just glared at the school from what I could see from the window. All I knew from where I was looking throw the window was that the school was pale pink and black, and the schools name, which was Vestigium High School. The cop got out of the front seat and opened the door to the back with a key. "But we don't even go to this scho..." I tried to explain but was cut off by the cop "Nope! I will get you registered!" he then lead all of us to the main office.

We were all afraid to get up after Ckeen tried to throw away his bloody napkin and the cop yelled for him to sit back down, so Ckeen throw it away fast and then sat back down. Ckeen and I still had our backpacks from traveling with us. 'Good thing we grabbed them before we got out of there' I thought. "What did we do to get here?! We didn't do anything!" he whispered to me in frustration. I shurged. "So, Flower, do you go to this school?" I asked her. "Yeah, unfortionly" she nodded. "How do you know her name?" Ckeen asked. "Where were when we were driving in the cop car, oviusely not there" I reasponed with an anime sweat drop.

The police came out of the confrecin with the principal office with the principal right next to him. She handed Ckeen and I our classes and then went back to her office. The cop just glared at us, gave us the finger thing that means I'll be watching you, and left. Ckeen and I looked over our scholwel. Then we both looked at Flower. "What?" she asked. "What's your scholwel?" we both asked. She gave it to us. We all have first period together. "Wait. Why are we even looking these over? We are getting out of here, right?" he asked. "Of course" I claimed. Then the bell rang for us to get to class, all three of us sighed.

We were all in class. Some preps were trying to flirst with Ckeen, key-word trying. He was trying his best to ignore them. I was trying my best not to go over there and water them out. Flower  was trying her best to calm me down. Then the blonde, which her name was Kristy, started to pet him. "That's it I'm going to give her a black eye as big as her ego!" Flower had to pull me back with all her strengh. "Calm down. I'm sure Ckeen will be fine" Flower reinsured. "Fine" I sat back down and pounted. Flower sighed in relif. The teacher then came in. It was an younge woman, that looked to be about in her 20's. She had long red hair in a bun and a light blue shirt to match her eyes and a pink skirt. Also tan shoes.

"Ok class we have two new students in the class today, may them come up here and introduce them selfs" the teacher, Ms. Hamten, anounced. Ckeen and I walked to the front. All of Ckeen's fangirls waved to him but he just rolled his eyes at them. Ckeen had his hands in his pockets, slouching. I had my arms crossed and no emotion on my face, I hated school more then anything. "Now don't be shy, state your name, age, hobbies, ect." She urged. Ckeen looked at me, almost begging me to go first. I sighed, "My name is Lex Hatsuno, I'm 14, and my hobbies are reading, writing, and listening to music" I finished with my arms still crossed. "My names Ckeen, I don't have a last name, I'm 14, and my hobbies are sleeping" was all he said before going back to his seat. I walked to mine as well.

Everyone almost sleeped through Ms. Hamten's leasson. After 2 hours the bell finally rang for the next class. I breathed a sigh of relief. 'And parents wonder why we hate school' I thought to myself. "I'm going to second period all alone!" I disclosed. "Don't worry, you'll be fine. There is no one here that bad" Flower rensured.

I was at my seat, eyes closed and head back. I was daydreaming of when I would be able to us my powers for once, but my dreaming was interupected by someone poking my head. I eyes shot open to Kristy and her friends looking at me. "You and Ckeen are friends, right" one of Kristy's friends asked. "Yeah?" I answered anored. "Can you put up a good word for me?" she comaded then asked. I just rolled my eyes and went turned back around. Kristy spun me around, she looked mad. "Um..no one looks at me like that! You better watch it" she warned. "Wow I'm so scared" I perteded to make to have a scared face. "That's it!" she looked like she was going to punch me. She tried to punch me in the face but I caught it ealiy. I flicted a tiny fireball in her hair, to make it seem like her hair was on fire but it wasn't.

She started to freak out and ran out of the classroom with her herd of sharks behind her. I clucked and went back to my daydreaming.

We were seated near the window eit a dieing flower in a pot on the inside. I poked my fork at my soposly baked potato. "Are you sure it's sopose to be blue. I've never seen any blue potatoes before" I asked Flower. She shurged and poked her's aswell. Ckeen refused to eat any food here, everything was not it's right color. "Just the day I forgot to bring my lunch" Flower said putting her fork down. "Oh! Did you hear what happened to Kristy?!" Flower asked giggling at the thought. Ckeen shock his head but I just stayed quiet, knowing what happened. "She said that her hair caught fire! She ran to the bathroom and looked in the mirrow and she said she sawares she saw something glowing red for a second but it was only a second she saw it" she explained laughing now. I was clucking. Ckeen raised his eyebrow at this. "Hair on fire?" he then looked at me. I stopped clucking and gave him an inocent look.

Flower looked at the flower. She moved her hand over the flower and the flower came up right, looking healthy and lush. Lex's mouth fell opened. 'Did I just see what I thought I saw?' I asked my self. "How did you do that?" I asked Flower. "Um..d-do what?" she lied. 'I know she has powers but she seems shy about them just like Ckeen was when I met him' thought and questions kept on going through my head at the same time that I was feeling dizy.

Flower looked down at her plate. "How do they even make it this color" she whispered. "Well there has to be a way out of here before lunch is over! I'm not going to sit through 4 more hours of this!!" he insisted. I thought for a moment, then I had it. "What are the chances of there being a fire drill?" I asked. They bothed shurged. I smirked but then it faded. 'What about Flower? I'll have to tell her, she also has powers she maybe she will understand' I hoped. "Flower I need to tell you something" I continued. "I know you have powers and so do Ckeen and I". Her eyes shot up, both surprised and freaked. Ckeen smacked his hand on his forhead. "R-really?" she asked. "Yep" Ckeen responded. "Ok can we get on with your plan already?" Ckeen asked.

I nodded. "Ok it's time for a fire drill" I snapped and a little flame came on my hand. Ckeen smirked and Flower's shot up more, amazed. I flicked it up to the sprinkle. Nothing happened. I throw another fire ball but it was a little bigger then the last one. Still nothing. I got anored by then and just throw a big fire ball at the thing, it started pouring. "Everyone in a single fill line" the voice came from the plump cafatrea woman but no one was listening. Most of the girls ran screaming out about there hair. The boys started dancing in the rain. Three of us just walked out, no intetion of dancing or yelling about our hair.

When we got out there some of the girls where almost crying about there hair, others where about to punch someone. Only 25% of the boys at this school were out there. "When do we run for it?" Ckeen asked. "In a sec, hold on" I conceded. "I'm coming with you guys" Flower put in, ready to run 3 miles. Ckeen and I both looked at her. "Are you sure, what would your parents think?" I asked, I didn't want to be another run away. "It's just me and my dad, but he's always busy with work" she responded. "Ok we are going on the count of 3..1...2...3!" Ckeen  ran, with Flower and me behind him.

We didn't stop running for 15 miuntes. We finally stopped for a break. "Where do you live?" Ckeen asked. "A couple minutes from here, just keep going down this street and then turn right" she said through breaths. Ckeen nodded. After about a minute of resting they started running again, but this time to somewhere. We finally got to Flower's house, which was a teal pink with blue shutters. "Be very quiet" Flower comaded. I was a bitt surprised that she wasn't going to tell her father. We all tiptoed into Flower's room which was green. When she was all packed, she signeled for us to go but then her father called out "Flower are you here already?" and then he walked into her room. 'Busted!'.

"Um,dad..um...I can explain" Flower tried to think of better words but it didn't work. Her dad then smiled. 'Wha?'. "I see you finally found some friends that have powers like you, hm?" he asked. "B-butbutbut, how!?" Ckeen and me asked. Flower looked just as surprised by this. Her dad giggled, "Come and have some tea with me". There he explained how he know we had powers, which still made no sence to me, and how he knew his daughter had powers just like Flower's mom. "Want me to call your parents to tell them your alright" he asked me. "Sure, I've been meaning to tell them anyway" I told him the number for the home phone. After about an hour everything was set up. Flower could come with us to find the Teen Titans but all of them are going to be spending the night there.

I layed on the couch, on something that wasn't dirt or rocks or the ground. I staired at the ceiling and listening to Ckeen snore. I giggled to myself. I closed my eyes and then fell fast asleep.
